The DC Power Management System (PMS) Marine extended feature enables several functions in ComAp’s controllers for marine and other DC applications. The feature is required for all applications containing a DC part of the system, such as battery packs, inverters, DC bus. Along with other included features such as a Modbus client, advanced PLC and power management functions, this product is built to support complex DC applications.

This extended feature is required in applications containing a DC part, handling direct current and voltage with constant polarity. It enables the processing of DC values such as DC current and voltage measurements, DC power evaluation, DC protection, etc.

In combination with Modbus client for communication with inverters, battery packs or fuel cells and advanced PLC package it can help control any DC application onboard (DC generator, PTI/PTO, DC/DC battery pack, DC shore, DC BTB, DC microgrid). Safe DC breaker control is maintained by unloading the system before opening the DC breaker (in normal operation) to ensure reliable operation and extend the lifetime of the DC breaker.

The DC PMS Marine offers:
