ComAp and Jinko ESS Announce Global Partnership to Deliver Battery Energy Storage Solutions

ComAp, a global leader in smart control solutions, and Jinko ESS, the global leading energy storage company and a subsidiary of Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., today announced a declaration of compatibility to deliver Commercial & Industrial (C&I) battery energy storage solutions (BESS). The collaboration combines Jinko ESS’s SunGiga All‑in‑One G2 BESS with ComAp’s InteliNeo energy management portfolio, comprising InteliNeo 530 BESS, InteliNeo 5500, and InteliNeo 6000, for both on‑grid and off‑grid sites, including co‑located solar PV, wind turbines, and diesel or gas gen-sets.

Following joint technical alignments in Europe and China, the teams have successfully demonstrated that ComAp’s InteliNeo controllers seamlessly orchestrate the Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) function on Jinko ESS’s latest SunGiga All‑in‑One G2 BESS. This validation confirms grid‑forming operation using the VSG function, supporting microgrids and weak grid environments where resilient voltage and frequency are essential.

Virtual Synchronous Generator as a BESS stabilising function
VSG allows an inverter‑based BESS to behave like a traditional synchronous generator, providing virtual inertia and damping that help stabilise frequency and reduce oscillations during disturbances. In practice, this means improved power quality, especially during transitions between grid-connected and islanded operation, higher renewable contribution, and black-start capabilities.

For C&I customers, VSG can translate into higher uptime, safer integration of renewables, and more predictable performance in sites with variable or constrained grids.

What Jinko ESS and ComAp’s partnership delivers

  • A joint, brand‑agnostic solution for hybrid sites: Jinko ESS SunGiga All‑in‑One G2 BESS and ComAp InteliNeo EMS for coordinated control of PV, wind, gen-sets, and storage.
  • On‑grid and off‑grid flexibility: native microgrid applications in InteliNeo for peak shaving, scheduling, backup, and islanded operation.
  • Proven interoperability: standardised communications and engineered control sequences for reliable commissioning and lifecycle performance.  Global reach: both companies operate internationally, enabling design, delivery, and service support at scale.

Target applications

  • On‑grid C&I: demand charge reduction, peak‑valley arbitrage, backup power, and power‑quality support.
  • Off‑grid and microgrids: grid‑forming operation with VSG, black start capability, and coordinated dispatch of PV, wind, and gen-sets.
  • Co‑location: hybrid plants that combine PV or wind with BESS and conventional generation under a unified EMS control environment.

Product highlights
SunGiga All‑in‑One G2 (Jinko ESS): highly integrated C&I BESS with liquid cooling and multi‑mode operation, designed for peak shaving, backup, and renewables integration.

InteliNeo EMS (ComAp): controllers dedicated to hybrid microgrids and BESS integration (InteliNeo 530, InteliNeo 5500, InteliNeo 6000), supporting standardized communications, black‑start sequences for grid‑forming storage, and coordinated control of PV, wind, gensets, and loads.

Availability
The joint ComAp–Jinko ESS solution is available immediately through regional teams and authorised partners. The companies will offer solution design support, integration guidelines, and commissioning assistance for qualified projects worldwide.
