The Propulsion Control System (PCS) Marine extended feature enables Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)-based electric propulsion control in ComAp's InteliMains 1010 Marine controller. It is required for any application that controls a main electric propulsion motor or thruster as part of the vessel's Integrated Automation System (IAS).
Start and stop sequences for AC and AC/DC electric propulsion
Speed referencing to the VFD in RPM or Torque mode, driven by a throttle-lever input
Trolling mode for precise low-speed manoeuvring
Breaker control for the ACCB / DCCB (with internal or external precharge) and the MPCB
This extended feature manages the complete start and stop sequence, speed referencing, breaker control, and electrical protections for a single propulsion drive, and works in both AC and AC/DC bus configurations.
Together with ComAp's standard Power Management System (PMS), it delivers coordinated, reserve-aware propulsion for modern electric and hybrid vessels.
